Overview

Activity is a collective record of operations and other audited events in your Aptible organization, including: user authentication attempts, role membership changes for users, permission updates to roles, and other configuration changes.

Backup Policy Activities:

You can access and review Activity through the following methods:
  1. Activity Dashboard: To view and search activity across your entire organization, you can explore the Activity dashboard
  2. Resource-specific activity: To focus on a particular resource, you can locate all associated operations within that resource’s dedicated Activity tab.
  3. Activity Reports: You can export Activity Reports for all past operations.
Users can only view activity for environments which they have permission to access.

Activity Dashboard

The Activity dashboard provides a real-time and historic view of operations for active resources. Through the Activity page, you can:
  • View activity for resources you have permission to access
  • Search and filter activity using multiple criteria
  • View operation logs for debugging purposes

Timestamps

Timestamps are displayed in UTC by default. You can toggle between UTC and your browser’s local timezone using the UTC/Local toggle in the top right of the Activity dashboard.

Search and Filter Options

The Activity dashboard provides several search fields to help you find specific activity:
  • Date Range: Select any custom date range, or choose from presets for the last 7, 30, or 90 days.
  • Operation Type: Filter by Operation type (e.g., App Deploy, Database Provision, User logged in)
  • Status: Filter by activity status (e.g., Queued, Running, Succeeded, Failed)
  • Actor: Filter by the user that initiated the activity
  • Environment: Filter by specific environment
Each activity event in the results includes a link on the right side of the row that opens a detailed view with additional information about that activity.

Activity Reports

Activity Reports provide historical data of all operations in a given environment, including operations executed on resources that were later deleted. These reports are generated on a weekly basis for each environment, and they can be accessed for the duration of the environment’s existence.
Activity Reports only include App, Database, Backup, Endpoint, Log & Metric Drain, and VPN Tunnel Activities. User & Authentication, Access Control and Backup Policy Activities are not yet included in these reports.
